MUSCAT, October 16, 2016: Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s lifestyle destination, signed an agreement with Mwasalat, Oman National Transport Company, to operate a bus service between Al Mouj Muscat and Muscat City Centre. The bus will be operating every hour from 3 pm to 10 pm on a daily basis serving visitors of both destinations, The Walk at Al Mouj Muscat and Muscat City Centre.
Commenting on the launch of this service, Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat said: “We are pleased to introduce this service by collaborating with Mwasalat, Oman’s leading public transport company, to connect two of the best shopping and leisure destinations in the Sultanate and urge our residents and visitors to enjoy a different experience. This service reflects another milestone coming along with other services and amenities offered to residents and visitors to thrive their experience at the world-class waterfront community. Operating the buses over the week brings a fast and an effective transportation solution to our growing community day after another”.
Expressing happiness over starting the service for Al Mouj Muscat community, Ahmed bin Ali Al Bulushi, CEO of Mwasalat said: “We understand that there is an urgent need to give priority to public transport and Mwasalat attempts to do so by introducing new routes. Since its launch the new routes and buses, Mwasalat has been praised for improving the efficiency and attractiveness of bus services in Muscat and to different parts of the country. We are certain that the new route between Muscat City Centre and Al Mouj Muscat will attract more visitors to both destinations”.
