Al Mouj Muscat and Golden Group Holding sign development agreement of four-star hotel apartments

Dubai, April 25, 2017: Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s lifestyle destination, today signed the Sale and Development Agreement with Golden Group Holding to develop a luxury four-star hotel apartments. The agreement was signed by Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat and Dr. Khalfan bin Said Al Shueili, CEO of Al Sedrah Real Estate Company, a member of the of the Golden Group Holding, at a ceremony held on the sideline of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2017, the region’s premier travel and tourism event, taking place in Dubai from April 24 to 27.

The signing ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Maitha bint Saif Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Tourism and other officials from both parties.

Al Mouj Rayhaan, the four-star hotel apartments overlooking the sea, will be the third hospitality component at Al Mouj Muscat and it will be operated by Rotana. With 250 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, apartments along with world-class amenities and services, the property will be located at the entrance of the luxury peninsula of Juman apartments and adjacent to the upcoming Kempinski Hotel set to open this year. Strategically located on the oceanfront, these hotel apartments will cater to the needs of guests by providing a wide-range of services along with the property’s outstanding facilities. The property is expected to open before 2020.

Speaking upon the signing ceremony, Al Sheibani said: “In line with the Sultanate’s strategy to boost tourism, Al Mouj Muscat is committed to the development of the sector in many aspects one of which is the hospitality segment by adding the third offering in the project. We believe this new edition “Al Mouj Rayhaan” Hotel apartments by Rotana with its prime location overlooking the ocean will significantly support the promotion of Muscat as a tourist destination and Al Mouj Muscat as the pioneering integrated tourism complex in the country. We are very delighted to partner once again with Golden Group Holding who have a track record and expertise in hospitality development”.

In addition to this property, Al Mouj Muscat brings Kempinski, a 5-star hotel being developed by the Omani Hospitality Company, and ‘Mysk by Shaza’ a 4-star hotel being developed by Taameer Investment, a member of the of the Golden Group Holding. Both hotels are expected to be open by end of 2017.

The new airport currently under construction has expected a capacity for 12 million passengers per annum and potential to accommodate four times the number.
