Al Mouj Muscat brings out Oman Investment Handbook in collaboration with Ithraa and KPMG Oman
MUSCAT, Oct 17, 2016: Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s lifestyle destination, launched recently Oman Investment Handbook. The handbook was developed in collaboration with The Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Exports Development (Ithraa) and KPMG Oman. The handbook provides a very high level summary of Oman’s economic and legal frameworks and important factors that should be considered prior to investing in Oman.
Explaining on the motive of developing the handbook, Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat said: “In 2016, Al Mouj Muscat team started promoting its properties overseas in Iran, Iraq, Africa, India as well as GCC Countries. The idea behind developing this handbook emerged out of our goal to primarily promote Oman as tourist and investment destination, Muscat as a jewel of Arabia and then Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s lifestyle destination and the first Integrated Tourism Complex in the Sultanate. We see ourselves as ambassadors of Oman and we wanted to take the opportunity to promote it in the countries we market our products in”.
Al Sheibani added: “The Handbook comes at a time when Oman is working on strategies at all levels to diversify the economy. The handbook brings insight to potential investors where it highlights the rules, regulations and policies which the Government has formulated to make Oman an attractive investment destination. It touches on key industries for investment, taxation, free zones, invest easy initiative, real estate and many other subjects of interest to investors. While the Oman Investment Handbook may not provide all the answers on investing, we are certain that it will create awareness and offer broad knowledge about the investment climate and contains the key contact details of Ithraa and KPMG where potential investors can seek more details where required”.
A chapter is dedicated to Al Mouj Muscat which has translated the traditional Omani lifestyle into a model, practical and an adaptive master plan embracing new standards for quality, design, amenity, and construction. As the Sultanate’s first integrated resort and residential development, incorporating around 6,000 new homes, a 400-berth marina, Oman’s first 18 hole PGA championship golf course, premier international hotels and new retail, leisure and dining opportunities, Al Mouj Muscat has something for everyone.
